Thanksgiving with Catfish and runaway Horses

Miss Anna on her First Thanksgiving.
She was too young to have any samples of vittles,
but she watched the rest of us with great interest.
She had a good helping of Mommy Milk and napped
off and on for the rest of the day.

Sam caught a good sized Catfish, and we had a delicious dinner if fried catfish in the evening.
It weighed about 3 1/2 to 4 pounds. Great way to demonstrate an authentic Pilgrim dish to the girls. "You know that they had fish at the first Thanksgiving. But no Pumpkin Pie."- Amber









****HORSE PLAY****

The girls and Sam rode horses in the afternoon. Amber and Abby had a grown-up lead their horse, but Sam rode solo. At one point Sam's horse decided that it was done having a rider. It ran FULL Blast towards the barn with Sam. The harder that Sam pulled on the reigns, the faster the horse ran. So Sam decided to remove himself from the horse. He jumped off and met with a soft pile of dirt- Thank God for dirt because he was not injured. Sam chased the horse until he caught up with it back at the barn and then he showed the horse who is the master. Sam got back on for a little while. True to the saying
Sam fell ( jumped) off the horse and got right back on.
