Amber is in second grade advanced placement classes and Abby is in Kindergarten. Sam and I both accompanied them to class this morning. Anna was not sure what to make of it all. After we left the school building, Anna looked around.
"Wait Amber Abby!!" she shouted as we drove away. We told her that they were in class and we would come back later. After a pause Anna said, "Amber Abby...class...not nice!" She will get used to it all soon.
Here are some pictures from today.

Abby and Amber on the front lawn. Abby meets her teacher and finds her cubby, then she calmly colors at a table. The teacher asked the kindergarteners to color while the pre-schoolers played. If she seems a bit larger than the others in the picture, they are pre-schoolers who share the room in the morning. Different grades are dropped off through different doors to accomadate the heavy amount of parent vehicle traffic.

Amber meets her teacher. This teacher was specially chosen for Amber as the school knows about Amber's Asperger's Symdrome. Amber calmly took her seat and began to color, too.
After school Amber's special ed teacher will walk her to Abby's classroom. I will pick them both up from there.
We sure hope that the girls have a great and fun year!!
