The highlights of 2006

This is a list of the things that we remember best about 2006:
In JANUARY we discovered that Rachael was pregnant with child #3 (even though the Doctor said she was done having kids- Ha Ha)

In late FEBRUARY we moved into our new house. It was ALMOST ready but we were more than ready so we moved in. The kitchen sink needed to be replaced, we had no stove or oven, we were still waiting for the new water heater- but Rachael was newly pregnant and wanted to " prepare the nest".
In MARCH Sam turned 27. We went to a store 1 hour away and bought Birkenstocks for his present.

We buy 4 baby chicks to raise. They are hens ( no roosters).
In APRIL Rachael turned 27. There were several tornadoes circling our little town. They struck North South East and West of us. But they never hit our town.
In MAY we learn that we are having a GIRL. We have no idea what her name will be though.
In JUNE Rachael had some dizzy weak spells and was hospitalized for four days. During this time we all end up in Memphis ( the girls stayed in the hospital room too as we were not going to leave them alone at home -3 hours away from Memphis).
Justin and Sarah visited on their way to Virgina. It was great to have family visit.
In JULY Abby turned FOUR and we got introduced to fireworks that say "Light and get away as fast as you can" because they launched or flew ( can we say fun)
and Victoria flew out to visit us. We FINALLY get our new stove/oven
In AUGUST Amber is officially a school girl. We home-school
but she and Abby go to a co-op meeting every Thursday to study art, science and PE.
In SEPTEMBER Miss Anna Belle is born. She is a good size gal, healthy and adorable. Two weeks later we lean that she sustained a broken clavicle at birth. We decide to add " one tough gal" to her list of qualities.
In OCTOBER the girls go on their first field trip. They go to a Farm Festival in Kentucky where they learn to milk cows, ride tractors, and launch pumpkins 50 feet into the air. It was a great day. Anna came too.
In NOVEMBER Grandma Joy comes for a Visit. We had not se
en her since our visit to Canada in Dec'05. Sam and I celebrate 7 years of marriage and 1 year of living in Tennessee.
In DECEMBER we take a road trip across HWY 40/ Route 66 and visit our family back in California. We are gone 1 month. We stay past the New Year.
