Rachael cerebrated her 2*th birthday this month. We took a drive to Paducah, KY to check out a store called Hobby Lobby. Rachael had never been there and it turned out to be a mega supply store for all things crafty. As you could guess, she spent a great deal of time in the scrapbooking section as there is not A SINGLE SCRAPBOOK store in our COUNTY!!!!!!! Then we went out to eat at an Italian restaurant and had "dessert" at the Starbuck's. Rachael also bought a few pounds of dark roast beans because as she put it " Who knows how long it will be before we get to another Starbuck's-it could be months!" (Living in a rural place is great unless you like to go to coffee shops or scrapbook stores. But in the areas that really matter, we really like where we live.)
On the next day Sam made a Vanilla cake with Ghirradelli Chocolate syrup and he topped it with strawberries and his own recipe of yogurt frosting. This was unlike any cake we have had before. It was delicious! This was a wonderful birthday.
